About the Role

As a successful candidate, you’ll lead a five-year project on a successful custom development and delivery of a modern enterprise solution for the largest California’s Department. We are looking for you to join our software delivery team as a Project Manager.

Requirements

Qualification:

  • The ideal candidate is PMP Certified and has 3 or more years of Project Management experience on custom development and enterprise solutions for a State or Local government.

  • Experience working within an Agile/Scrum software development environment is required.

  • Excellent presentation, written, and spoken communication skills with different levels of stakeholders across departments including executive, directors, mid-level managers, vendors, and contractors.

  • Excellent ability to manage tasks, schedule, and risks through competing priorities.

  • Experience with managing conflicts within team and knowledgeable of conflict management techniques.

  • Experience in MS Project, Azure DevOps, MS Office

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

  • Lives within State of California

Functional Responsibility:

  • Ensures that the project team delivers against schedule, scope, resource/cost, and quality targets using the Agile/Scrum SDLC.

  • Leads project teams in adopting Agile / Scrum methodology via training and coaching.

  • Responsible for authoring the project management deliverables including Project Charter, Project Plan, Communication Plan, Risk Management Plan, and Transition Plan and facilitating the documentation review.

  • Communicate the project progress to stakeholders through schedule, status reports and review meetings, issue log, and decision log.

  • Lead the release planning, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming and daily scrum activities.

  • Anticipate and manage risks, publish a risk register, proactively communicate risks/issues to management in a timely manner, and offer creative solutions

  • Responsible for managing change; manage change logs, coordinate creation and approval of change orders.
